Presidential Campaign Heats Up. Are The Allegations True Or False?

Not long it seemed all was going well between the presidential candidates President Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, but recently there have been allegations going about between the respective parties.

Buhari has been accused of being an Islamic extremist, monumental fraud and not finishing high school. On Sunday, President Goodluck Jonathan's campaign chief Femi Fani-Kayode added another that the 72-year-old was "mortally ill" from prostate cancer.

Although he replied in self defence that "How they got the impression that I was sick I don't know," he told a news conference on Sunday, revealing that the only health issue he had was a cold and that all the allegations were based on desperation.

According to Yahoo news, Dapo Thomas, a politics lecturer at the Lagos State University, called it a "gutter campaign" borne out fear in the PDP that it could lose power for the first time in 16 years.

We pray all disputes are resolved and hope for a peaceful election next month.
