LAUTECH seemed to have heard the outcry of her students and taken a commendable step to ensure their happiness, and have vindicated herself from the ultimatum threatened by NAUS.

According to the Ag. Registrar, J.A Agboola, the portals will be left open till August 10, giving students extra grace to pay their fees, and the suspended examinations will commence will full effect from Tuesday, July 21 (for 100-Level Students).

At its meeting on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015, Senate reviewed the situation that informed its earlier decisions that the portals be kept open till July 10, 2015. Senate observed that a significant number of students were yet to register consequent on their inability to pay their fees.
 Senate, therefore, approved that:

  1. Portals be left open till August 10, 2015 for the payment of outstanding school fees for 2013/2014 academic session and the Harmattan Semester of 2014/2015 academic session, after which no further extension will be granted;
  1. The 2014/2015 Harmattan Semester Examinations should resume as follows:
  • Remaining 100-Level CBT examinations are rescheduled for Tuesday to Friday, July 21 - July 24, 2015;
  • 200 - 500-Level students with carryover courses in 100-Level are to take them with the current 100-Level students as stated above; and
  • 200 - 500-Level CBT and Non-CBT examinations will take place as will be reflected in the new time-table to be released by the Examinatiion and Time-Table Comittee.
Thank you.
